December 2008

Merry Christmas to all!
What a wonderful holiday season we had!
Santa was good to all of us this year.
Jake was given his very own mini four wheeler, a play set for the back yard,
a cozy coupe car and so many other things.
Santa left me a beautiful pair of earrings with Jake's birthstone.
Santa left Johnny some random things and money so
that the picky, picky man can buy for himself.
Jake had a great time at the Christmas Eve
family festivities. He was decked out in his Christmas best.
Jake had a blast playing with his cousins and opening his gifts.
So fun!!!

November 2008

Jake had a great time at Halloween. He ended up trick-or-treating as a bee since he decided to outgrow his puppy costume. Oh well, he was still adorable! He had fun going around the neighborhood and racking up on candy. His favorite was the huge pixy stick.

Jake's First Birthday was November 1st. We had a party at home to celebrate. It was a great party! All of Jake's friends and family were there to party with us.

We had our first petting zoo adventure on November 15th. Chance had his 3rd birthday at Hidden Oak Farms. Jake was not sure what to think about all of the animals. He called them all dogs.

Jake is now running everywhere! He is hard to keep up with!!! He has added a few new words to his vocabulary. He now says dog, mama, dadda, bottle, bye bye, no, uh oh and uh uh.
He loves graham crackers and vanilla pudding. Jake started a new "school" on November 3rd. We are amazed at the change in him in just 3 weeks. His new teachers are wonderful and we are very excited to see what all he learns with them.

Fun Filled October 2008

What a fun month October has been! We visited Baton Rouge twice, once to celebrate mom's 50th birthday/Susie's baby shower and the other visit to celebrate Jake's birthday (a little early). Mom's surprise party was a success!!! I'm not sure how we didn't spill the beans, but she had no idea and had a very fun 50th Birthday. Susie's shower was wonderful. She is having a little boy due Christmas Eve. I'm so excited that Jake will have a new little buddy.

Jake's birthday party was a lot of fun! He wasn't too sure of the opening gifts part. It felt more like my birthday than his. We were both excited about all of the new toys and other goodies:)
I also celebrated a birthday this month. 29 and holding!

Jake visited his first pumpkin patch. He was so excited about all of the big orange things. He wasn't sure what to think. He went from one to the next with a look of amazement on his face. So cute!!!!

Mike and Jessica were gracious enough to host the "adult" Halloween party again this year. Johnny and I were a "south of the border" couple. We had a blast!!!!

Johnny took a 5 day trip to South Dakota to pheasant hunt. Jake and I missed him very much! So glad that he is now home. Now I need to learn how to cook these pheasants in my freezer.

Jake is now taking quite a few steps on his own. His vocabulary has now expanded to 4 words....momma, daddy, dog and no. He has 4 teeth but still no interest in "real food."

Tomorrow is Halloween. Jake is going to be a puppy this year. Of course, I will post pictures of Jake's 1st trick-or-treat later.
